I'm setting up a new HT room and so far I have ordered:
Projector - Sony VPL-VW50
Screen - 100" HDTV Velvet wrapped sensation series (white) I am hearing that I should change this to a grey screen....that grey would give me better contrast???

Folowing is what I am planning on ordering:
Receiver - Yamaha RXV1800
Sub - 2 Marantz Dynamo
Front, Rear and Center - OK this is where I'm really confused. I'm already wired in the ceiling. So, I was thinking of going with Polk Audio TC80I for front, rear and center????????? I'm hearing it will work well and I'm also hearing that you should never have your front and center in the ceiling????

Let me know what your opinions are....thanks!

You can go in-ceilings if you have to but I would try to use enclosed speakers for the LCR if at all possible. I would at very least use a free-standing center unless you like voices coming from the ceiling.

How much is the price difference of that Sony 50 projector and the new 60? The 60 was much better reviewed in Wide Screen Review. I would go with the white screen.

If you use the DTs up front, I'd just go with their UIW-64s for the rears. Nothing much is known about the Monster sub. I would consider an HSU VTF3-HO instead.

... Nothing much is known about the Monster sub. .
If that is a product of Monster Cable, then we have a good idea about it, expensive for what it delivers.:D
