I have a spare bedroom i dedicated and turned into my theater/hangout room. The room is about 12x14 with hardwood floors. Its pretty much done so now i wanna do some bass traps and accoustic panels to treat the room.

So far i have painted the walls and ceiling and thats it, i have my tv and speakers a long a long wall and was thinking of putting three or four small accoustic panels on that wall to absorb some sound between this room and my sisters bedrrom. I also need some kind of bass traps but dont know what to look at, i dont have a lot of room at all so any suggestions??

Treating the inside of a room with absorbers will not stop sound transmission to another adjoining room. That simply takes mass, decoupling, addressing HVAC issues, solid core doors, etc.
