Help with my dilemma please.

Okay, I am finally upgrading my Onkyo HTIB (HT-S770) to something substantially better. Here is what I DO know. I am going with a CSi5 center, and a SVS PC12-NSD OR PB12-NSD sub. Not sure if I want the box sub or cylinder but that's a moot point because they are both kick #$$. My dilemma has to do with the fronts. My Onkyo receiver that came with my original setup generates 130w per channel which is actually pretty good.

I cannot decide for the life of me whether to go with the RTi8s or RTi12s. I have a rather large living room (17X22) and want something that can fill that space well. I'm pretty sure my current receiver can provide the RTi8s with enough power but I don't know how good the RTi12s would sound with it. Another thing that sux is that my Onkyo receiver doesn't have any amp pre-outs on it so if I were to purchase an amp I'd have to get a new receiver as well, which will be costly. Here's the thing though, considering the fact that I am getting a premium sub to go with this system and will be crossing over the low frequencies anyway will the RTi8s get the job done? I almost feel like it is overkill to get the RTi12s and then waste their bass capabilities by sending it to the sub. Someone help please.
