Help with LPA amp and outlaw 1050

I received my Emotiva LPA-1 today and hooked everything up today, but i have a problem.


I was playing a HD DVD in my Toshiba XA2 player , hooked up thru the 5.1 direct inputs. I was not able to get audio thru the right channel speaker for either the front or the rear. I switched out cables, flipped things around,cables are fine as are the innerconnects and the speakers.

Fustrated, i took a break to think things thru and watch some golf on DirecTv and had sound from all the speakers incl the right side ( front and rear), i checked the laserdisc player and had audio all the way around .

where's the problem?, i assume the 5.1 direct input is an issue and will try the optical out on the HD DVD player later and disconnect the direct inputs.

why would the direct inputs work before i used the pre amp outs and not now, especially since the the other sources work thru the 1050 as a prepro and the LPA, so its not an amp issue, i presume

any thoughts

I think that you have a problem with the 5.1 direct inputs. Either from the Toshiba XA2 player or where they connect at the 1050. Check to insure that the 5.1 is oriented correctly and the connections have not come loose?
