Help with Harman Kardon choice!

How much of a difference would I see between the Harman Kardon AVR 435 and AVR 635. The AVR 635 has 10w per channel more then the AVR 435 but other than that is there any other differences. I found the AVR 435 new for $499.00 and the AVR 635 for $649.00. I am also considering Harmon Kardon direct and purchasing a refurbished unit but not sure if it’s worth saving a little money. If anyone has purchased a refurbished unit I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.

635 has upconversion for the video i think, so you can upconvert composite video in to a component out.

other than that not much different. id go for the 635 though, you can get them somewhat cheap on ebay from the harmon authorized dealer.

Harman Direct is great. I have no reservation about recomending them. A+ customer service. Warrenty is Fully honored through them...and they pay the shipping (At least in my case...I had a faulty processor and they e-mailed me a pre paid shipping label within five minutes).

Keep looking and try to get the 635. If you watch for the 635, try bidding in the last minute. You should be able to get it for about $550. It might take a while (It took me over a month of "Hunting" to get mine at a considerable discount) but its is worth it if the extra $100 is a deal breaker. If its not...Go ahead and enjoy!
