Help with Floor Standing speakers

Hello,

My brother is buying a new house and needs 2 floor standing speakers(tower speakers) but his budget is $400 tops.

Can anybody give me some advise as to what are the best speakers he can get for that price?

See if you can find some Infinity P363's for $200/ea or less.

No question in my mind the best $400/pr brand new speakers are the Infinity Primus P362/P363.

Here are the P362 for $200 each:

I've heard some speakers that cost a lot more that didn't sound better.

Cheaper? Possibly.

Better for the price? I highly doubt it.

If you're not in a rush keep checking amazon.com and newegg.com. Maybe you can get the P363's for $150 each.

The P362 measures better - more accurately. But whether the P362 sounds better or not, I'm not sure. You would have to compare them side by side.

I also own the P362.
