Had the receiver for almost a month. Hooked up with SONY BDP-350, Paradigm CT110 5.1 speakers (HDMI for video, Coaxial for audio).

Since I have ordered Oppo BD-83 (which supports 7.1 analog output for lossless audio), today I tried to add another two speakers to my 5.1 system.
I have to disable Zone 2 before I can assign Amp for 7.1 stereo. Otherwise it defaults as 5.1.

After connected the two extra speakers - some weird things happened.

Say watching a blu-ray movie, instead of having vocal coming out from only the center speaker, I realized that all 7 speakers output the same sound effect.

I guess once I received my Oppo (which has 7.1 analog output) I can get rid of the coaxial cable (with sony 350), and use the 8 RCA cables for analog sound? This will work okay for BD/DVD/SACD?

I have get rid off all banana plugs - I guess no harm NOT using them (especially I don't often play with the wires), right?

Double check which surround sound mode you have it set to. You probably switched it to a mode that does that, so just check.

No harm at all not using banana plugs.
