Help with Denon AVR- 4802

Recently my 4802 will not give me surround sound when I change to either Wide Screen or THX mode while watching Television. For some reason the center and surround channels go out. I should get 7 channel sound in these modes and I'm only getting sound from the front two speakers. Wide Screen mode is my preference. However I have to listen in Matrix Mode as this is my second preference. All other modes are playing correctly i.e. Stadium, Jazz, Classical, Matrix etc. DVD audio is fine. Would anybody know how to correct this problem?
Any ideas?

Are you sure you are feeding it DD 5.1 or more in those modes?
Not sure if those other modes works on prologic too and that is why they work for you.

I know this is obvious but I stumbled on it when playing with my new Denon 3806 .... You can change the volume per channel. Maybe the channels are being played but you need more volume there. My remote center button toggles through each channel in play for a volume tweak.

You were correct. When looking over my setup from the On Screen Display, I noticed that the surround special setting for DD and DTS Surround was set to speakers A&B. For my setup it should be set to A only. When I initially set it up I set it correctly, but somehow it got changed by accident and I didn't notice it until tonight. Maybe this can be helpful to someone else with similar problems to check out. Thanks again.
