So I am looking to put together an entry to mid-level system and need some help making a couple decisions. I currently live in a condo so at this moment in time I am unable to go all out on a system. My budget for the time being is roughly $700-800 usd and what i'm thinking about doing is getting a mid range receiver now and some lower end speakers that I will upgrade within the next year or two.
The speakers that i'm probably going to get are the following. I know they aren't anything special, but they have good reviews and will be plenty while i'm living in my condo.
Onkyo SKS-HT540 7.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System
The two receivers that i'm looking at are the following:
Denon AVR-891
&
Denon AVR-2311CI
I know that these two receivers are almost exactly the same except for a couple small differences, but both have pretty much everything that i'm looking for in a receiver.
My question, though, is if you guys think I should pick up one of these receivers, or wait for Denon to release their new lineup? Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe they are set to release them next month. Also, if there are any other receivers that are just as good if not better than the two I listed, please fell free to suggest them to me. I know this isn't the speaker board, but if you also had any different suggestions for them as well feel free. I'm open to all suggestions!
