Along with the receiver I bought the Amazon basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA adapter Audio Stereo Cable since reviewers were saying its need to connect to your receiver. The 3.5mm doesnt fit into the Sub jack on my subwoofer. It goes half in and sticks out. I put my wire from my old amp into the Sub for now but I am not sure if its even working or what settings to chance in my Receiver menu to make it work. Can anyone help?

Plug it into either subwoofer 1 or subwoofer 2 on the back of the receiver. But, if you only have one subwoofer, then plug it into subwoofer 1.
