Help with chosing a HT system

I'm truly a beginner at this, but a few years ago, I purchased a system with M&K 750 LCR speakers and have since bought a pair of Surround 55T's for the rear surrounds. A 12" M&K woofer came with the 750's. All the A/V equipment is now 11 years old, no HDMI inputs etc. I'd like to build a nice 5.1 system to go with my Samsung UN55D7000. The more I read the more I'm concerned about driving the M&K speakers as they are all 4 ohm. I've been reading various posts and it seems that separates are a good option to insure enough power to drive the M&K's. I'm thinking of the Emotiva UPA-500 and the UMC-200 surround processor. Is this overkill or can I get away with using say a Denon AVR-3313ci or AVR 2313ci.

I'm told these speakers are worth keeping, but need decent power to drive them properly and AVR receivers may not have adequate amplifiers to do so.

Any advice for a novice???

Thanks

I think you'd be fine driving them with the Denon. Obviously if you need it loud then an external amp could be added down the line.

Denon seems to specifically exclude 4 ohm speakers in their spec's. I don't pretend to understand all the issues, but are you saying I shouldn't worry about that unless I play at high volumes?

Thanks for your help!
