Hi everybody , im new to the site and have a realy strange issue that i just cant work out why my front and left speakers wont increase in volume but will decrease !! Ive tried everything from changing sound affect mode and the front speakers still wont do what i need them to do !!, ive even gone to home set up but it seems like they are locked on volume 5 but wont increase to +5 , they will only be allowed to be lowered !! , every other speaker works exactly as it should including the sub , how can this be or is it just a normal standard set up ie default setting within this model ? , realy frustrating and cant work out why as been trying for a week now without joy , hoping somebody on here can help and very strange .LG HT806PH

What do you mean by “every other speaker works as it should?” Does that mean they will increase the volume beyond +5? If so, to what?

Regardless, if you’re having problems with the “other speakers” being louder than the left and right, just reduce their volume to an appropriate level.

Why do you need to raise the levels of the front speakers? You simply want louder results?

Hiya wayne and what um trying to say is that the front and right speakers are stuck on volume 5 but you can go below but cant increase volume , but with every other speaker Sub/rear right /rear left / and centre you can increase to +5 or decrease to -5 , so are you saying my fronts are ok then.

You mean they're at 0 or at 5 when you say stuck? Overall, how are you setting level for each channel?

Check each speaker volume setting on the speaker setup screen or go through setup again.

Thanks for the expansion on that, weird numbering system, should be -5 to 0 and 0 to 5 as would be normal. Does this unit have some sort of automated setup routine with a microphone or are you using an spl meter or ?

My apologies yes you are correct ie -5 -0 and 0 -5 but fronts only adjust 0 to -5 and do not adjust 0-5 , but all others do .

It almost sounds like u got a faulty system. To test this set all speakers including sub to 0 then one by one turn them up to as high as they can go then back down. If the front left/right speakers still will not go higher then 0 check all possible eq setups and run the test again. If after everything possible is tryed call the manufacturers costumer service and see if they can explain what is going on. To me it sounds like a fault in the system.

It's not defective, it says right in the manual that this is the limitation for the adjustment of the front speakers...see page 24
