Help with 1 Pre Out to 2 Devices

I am new to the forum, I hope this is the proper place to post this and I hope someone here can help me. I have a Denon receiver with a Zone 2 RCA pre out. I need to be able to send the pre out to two different sources and be able to choose which it goes to. Does anyone have a suggestion of the best way to do this without going to a 3 zone amp?

Thank you in advance,
Anthony

You can split an output into two inputs.

You cannot combine two outputs into one input.

Unless you want to make your own switching unit, the only thing I can think of that will do that is an old vintage Radio Shack tape control unit.

There are two for sale on eBay now.

Since a preout necessarily goes to some kind of amp, you can use the splitter and "choose" which system you use by which one you turn on. There is no harm sending an input to a component that is turned off.
