It would be easier for people to refer back to your questions if they where on the same thread.
You have to decide on your own what receiver best fits your needs. Do you want/need HDMI features, do you need a certain amount of connectivity or certain features. What kind of speakers are you powering, more specifically efficiency and nominal impedance.
It all depends on the factors of what you need for your home theater, and your personal feelings on the products you are looking at. If you like H/K and they features they offer, go with them, if you like Denon and they features they offer, go with them. No one here can decide what is appropriate for you.
Remember that similarly priced models (assuming they are new models) are going to offer similar performance and features. The variance between each receiver in the same price range is going to be minimal.
