Hi

Im looking to upgrade nearly all the components of my Home Theatre system. I've done a lot reading but Im non the wiser. Im looking to install 7.1 with 2 bluetooth bookshelf speakers (to reduce wiring) behind the sofa. so your help will be appreciated on what speakers to buy

Please take the following into consideration

- Total budget for 7.1 setup will be US$10K
- The system will be mainly used for movies, but i do listen to a lot of digitally stored music (if that matters)
- Design and aesthetics are important (not over the top)
- Im also debating between Cambridge Audiio CXR200 and Denon AVR-X6200W. Please note that i dont see myself going for Atoms set up. Great sound and 4K up-scaling are most critical consideration.
- Center channel Speaker have to be top performer inline with other speakers (ive had issues with CH speakers in the past).
- would you advise using bluetooth speakers for this set up and what are the best Bluetooth speakers for such a set-up

Also would appreciate your guidance on whether center channel have to be the same brand/series as the floor standing (front R/L) speakers

Thank you

Ideally, you want your mains to timbre match your centre speaker.

Personally, I would wire your speakers and drop the bluetooth. I don't know much about bluetooth but I know the Blue sound Node sounds pretty good but not what you are looking for.

I would also consider Yamaha for your AVR. Super reliable machines.

Spend most of your money on your main speakers.
