help setup used system please

Hey everyone I'm brand new here. Found you while searching for a diagram to help me setup a used system I just bought. My question is can anyone tell me how to hook all these components together I have all pioneer components amp= vsx d508 EQ= gr408 CD= pd-f1007 Tape= ct-w4000. I pretty much know where to put the cd, and tape on the reciever but I have no idea where to hook up the EQ. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need a tape monitor loop to be able to use an EQ. If you have one (typically 'tape2') you run the outputs of the receiver to the inputs of the EQ and the outputs of the EQ back into the receiver. You then need to engage the tape monitor to hear the effects of the EQ.

If that receiver is new enough to have digital inputs and processing, the EQ probably won't work even if it has a tape monitor loop as it will not direct digital signals to the tape outs. If it is new enough to have digital inputs, it probably does not have a tape monitor loop.

thanks I got it working but now I found the eq is bad the right side is very low volume compared to the left so I trashed it and will get a new one.
