i just added a dvd recorder to a pioneer hd projection tv and cablevision box with hd and dvr, and a sony home theater, using component cables. when i watch tv on input 2, all plays great. when i record on av1, which is what the recorder is hooked up to, the result is quite different. the hd picture quality is much less, there are bars on top and bottom, even though when on input 2 i get full screen. also, audio quality is much worse, and i lose digital 5.1. i probably hooked something up wrong. would appreciate any help. thanks.
