I have a SVS PB-10 sub and I just got my mom a HSU STF-2 - 10" models. I found the HSU sub to built very well and sound very good. It sounds great with HT - BUT my SVS is a couple steps better than the HSU. For one it is about 25 lbs heavier and a lot bigger. Two the SVS sounds a lot better. I found it is a lot more "musical" and when listening to movies such a War of the Worlds, the SVS didn't loose control like the HSU did. I personally am going to add a second PB-10 to my system as I believe it to be the best of all worlds...
