Help selecting receiver and sub

First off I’m a complete idiot when it comes to most of this stuff so just bear with. Just moved into a new house and inherited a room with a set of Polk RC55i in the front and a pair of RC60i in the rear. I have no sub or center channel. The center channel was pretty easy to track down so I’ll get a CS1 or CS2.

The whole setup is going to be used 85% TV, 10% movies, 5% music.
I do need some suggestions on the sub as I don’t want to spend a fortune given what I’m using this for mostly. I’ve seen the BIC F12’s mentioned a s a good value sub so looking for opinions on that and other recommendations. Really would like to keep the sub under $200.

Next is the receiver – so I’ll have a 5.1 system in the room, but will probably want to add some speakers to our patio meaning I guess I need a 7.1 with a second zone option. Connections will be the TV, cable box and a Blu-Ray player – maybe a roku box down the road.

I want to keep the receiver at under $350 is possible and have looked at the following: Yamaha v667, Pioneer 1021, Sony DN1020 and Denon 1712. What are thoughts on those compared to each other?

I had looked at the Onkyo 609 and Accessories4Less has good deals on the refurb Denon 1911, Denon 791, Denon 1712, onkyo RC360 but I’m a little leery of refurbs and especially onkyo refurbs. Read some bad things about the Denon refurbs as well.
Any advice is helpful.

I have bought 2 receivers from AC4L, and one was the 791. I like it
better than the Yamaha 667 - and the Yamaha is good. I am not one
for cheap boomy subs - I will say that Bic has some fans.

But really, for decent sub checkout bic pl200 - it's should be $275 shipped.
I have the PL200 sub, and I can attest it rocks the house. Yesterday I turned the Denon 3312 volume to -9dB (listening to instrumental remixes), and every wall in my house was shaking.

I had a stack of 37 magazines on top of the PL200, and 3 magazines remained on the sub; the rest were on the floor.:D
