Connected my ld player to Denon 3802 recvr. I get picture but no sound via the digi coax out of ld to the recvr. I do get audio using the stereo l/r pair. I have tested cable with my oppo dvd and digi coax is fine so cable is not the issue. I have assigned the digi inputs correctly (recvr has only one coax in and I assigned it to vdp (older 3802 has this) input and still no audio from ld player using the coax. I don't get it. Manual for the 3802 states that the coax input should read ac-3 and DD signals. I am wondering why I don't get audio as I am missing the DD on the soundtracks. Are the ld's discrete 5.1 soundtracks or are they Dolby Digi stereo??? And even if they are digi stereo rather than 5.1 I should be getting the indicator light on recvr as it does not light indicating no signal obviously. Any help appreciated as I had no luck posting this in the pre/pro, amp, recvr section of forum. Thanks again.
