Hi I am new to home cinema and have just bought a panasonic SCHT520. my question is is there a way to enjoy the benefits of dolby pro logic (inc2) through my satalite box and games console so I can enjoy the superior sound quality over my televison or am I living in cloud cookoo land.

I have wired seperate systems before but this is all new to me

Any help would be appreciated

I checked out Panasonic's website but was unable to locate any info on the model number you listed.

That said, I still have a basic idea of what to look at. To get surround sound from your PS2, you'll need a Toslink cable. I'm not sure if your Panasonic receiver has this input though. Perhaps if you could take a picture or list off the inputs and outputs on your reciever I could be of more help.

Hmm, it looks like it doesn't have any video input, which means it can't switch your video sources (PS2). The good news is it does have audio input, though only stereo. You need to connect the Audio output of your PS2 (the white and red RCA plugs) to one of the inputs on your Panasonic unit. Then you need to connect the video output of your PS2 directly to one of the inptus on your TV, be it composite, S-Video, or component.
