Here is my current system:

Denon AVR985S receiver
Infinity Beta 50's
Infinity SW-12

It sounds good......sometimes great, but I can't help but feeling something is missing. I'm worried that the receiver is not powerful enough. I have not and do not know of any way of customizing my sound.

I am adding to the mix:
Infinity Beta 20's
Infinity ES250's
Sony DVP-NS975V
Sony KDF-60XS955

I'm concerned that once I hook up the other two pair of speakers and the tv, I will not get the full ability out of my system. I wish I had stumbled onto this website before I designed my system. I guess I'm a typical guy. I have to do things my way! The tv and dvd player are done deals and on the way. I guess I could refuse them.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of doing the professional calebration thing. Maybe it's not the products, but the set-up. I don't mind spending another $200-300 seeing how I will be out at least $7000.

I don't really think anything is missing. I'm just wondering if I need to customize my receiver in order to maximize it's ability or whether or not the amp can handle the job.

Dude,

I can't even find a 985 Silver on the Denon website. Where did you buy this? Afghanistan? If it's similar to my 3805, you have nothing to worry about. The amp in the 3805 will drive everything but electrostats. You should be safe, but let us know what the heck a 985 is comparable to in the states.

Your 985 is the consumer version of the 2805. It's 100watts per ch. @ 8ohms.
You beta 50's are 8ohm speakers rated at 10 - 250 watts. While you certainly could add some power, the reciever you have should handle the speakers fine. Adding the extra speakers won't impact the system at all because you have 7 equal power amps.
I don't sell the 985 but I assume it comes with a set-up mic. If so run the calibration. You may have to move the mic around a little to get the right set up. I use a camera tri-pod usually.

If you have the receiver as mentioned, you should be well on your way with all the speakers set up correctly.
You do need to level match all th ewspeakers though and since you are buying that large TV, you should have that calibrated as well. You might want to consider a pro, ISF certified (Imaging Science Foundation).
