Help picking my AV Receiver please...

I am putting a new home theatre together and would appreciate some comments. The room is 7.5 deep and 3.2 wide.

Proposed Amp
The amp I have been looking at is the Marantz SR 9600, which seems nice. But the remote seems to be crap. Does anyone have advice for me about this AMP or would anyone recommend something over it ? I would be most grateful for comments.

I am matching to the AMP to the Marantz 9500 DVD player.

Speakers
I have purchased 803N B & W with a matching HTM3s centre, and B & W in wall speakers at the back and dipole 603's on the walls. The subs will be Audiorpro.

Sounds like a reasonable setup if you like the features and usability of Marantz. Don't worry about the remote - all remotes shipped with electronics equipment are lousy.

One question though: 7.5 x 3.2? That must be meters because I can't imagine a room that is 3 feet wide. Even the foyer at my front door is wider than 3 feet. :)

Thanks for your comment, and yes that's meters.

I guess what I really want to know is what better amps are there out there around similar or slightly more money, and what DVD to match.

If youre using the Nautilus 803's then look into getting a dedicated amp to drive them. The Nautilus series are tough to drive to get the best out of them.
