I have a onkyo tx-sr309 reciever. I am a suround sound novice. I can't get all the speakers to play when I am listening to FM radio. Is there a way to utilize all speakers?

There is a way, but with that cheap receiver, I do NOT recommend it. You'll probably end up causing a fire. You need amplifiers designed to be driven all channels driven, like an Emotiva UPA-5 or something.

On that receiver, there may be some options available in the listening mode menu. You may have PLII Music, PLII Movie, Neo:6Cinema and a few others. I have the TX-SR603 and on mine I can use those with FM, and other stereo only sources.
