Help on Pioneer VSX1021-K

Hi I need to know if i can set up this AV reciver with a pair of Polk Audio RTi A-9 or A-7..
This speakers boost about 500 watts... In order to set an audiophile style sistem i need to know if i can use several ouputs of this reciver to aproach at least 300 watts per speaker... Iam new to all this stuff.

Im not interest in video, only want a powerfull crisp and clear audio sistem something like a 2,1 configuration
Pioneer VSX1021-K has 7,1 chanel and its about 90 watt per chanel.

What configuration you suggest to make a simple 2,1 sistem with this tipe of speaker????

You can bi-amp the speakers off the receiver, but there is no real benefit since all the amps draw power from one mediocre power supply. If you want more power, it’s best to use a more powerful amp. This can’t be done with the 1021 since it has no pre-outs.

If you want a decent “Full range” 2.1 speaker setup, I’d forego the A7/9s since their crossovers to the woofers are at 120/125 Hz. You’ll likely use a 60/80 Hz crossover to the sub/s so you won’t make good use of the 7” woofers. A speaker like the A5 is a better option when used in conjunction with a sub and a mid/low level receiver.
