I've been looking everywhere for help on this, haven't found anything specific enough though. I'd like to somehow hook up my car sub with my mac but have no idea on where to start!

I have a Vibe BlackAir Active 12" 1600w Car Sub Box, ANY help would be appreciated!

Some info:
Driver: BlackAir 12" v4
RMS Power: 550W
Remote Bass Control: Included
Peak Power: 1600W
Turbo Ports: 2 x 4"
Built-in Active Amp Type: PowerBox Bass I

buy a 3.5mm to RCA, plug it into your headphone port, cut the black/red ends off and attach them to the -/+ on the sub..

just kidding. Don't do this. Seriously.

Can I ask why you want to do this? You can't use just a sub woofer.. You'll need a receiver and with that you'll need speakers. At this point you should just sell the sub to a kid on Craigslist and buy actual equipment.

Noobs. I guess it is going to be one of those days.

Tell us what you are trying to do first, then we can see if it can be done. In general, this sounds like a really bad idea.

Sub Box cars and ones for home audio have different tunings so it won't sound as good in the house.

You'd need a power amp to drive the sub and then you'd hook that up to your system. Power amps aren't cheap so you might as well get a Dayton sub from Parts-express it will sound better and do the job simpler.
