Help on Avr choice for pre out

Hello!
Here is my current Setup :
Hptc, playing mostly flacs with Hiface2 running into Yamaha RX-V3800.
I have Triangle 5.1 setup with Celius in front and a sub (not hard to drive 91db)
My room is very bad and while my speakers are kinda phat, i get 50% of the bass at my couch.
Seems a standing wave is there.
I also feel that the Yamaha is no good at playing music not at low volume (some kind of no dynamics, no détails)
I'd like to put some nice amp for the fronts (sony TA-N80es?)
I've read in reviews that yamaha's are bad at preouts in this case. There is no review for my 3800 but i bet it has the same weakness as 2700's and 4600's.
So here is my question, what would be the best avr in my case? i don't need 4k/atmos and would buy it used. I've reed pioneers have some help in standing waves compensation... is that true?
I've read the RX-A1010 review wich says the preams are good while the SNR seems low to me (i'm used to read 120db ratings for soundcards)
Are the new Sabre DACs in RX-A1030 really better? is the RX-A1030 still as good as 1010 was?
Thanks!

Which review(s) you referred to? From what I have read in the past, the opposite would be true. Yamaha RX-V2500 and higher series preamps were among the best in AVRs. Check out some reviews done right here by Audioholics.

i've seen this in the rx-v2700 review

"Outputs Deliver nearly 3Vrms output before the receiver shut down, but FFT distortion becomes very high once output exceeds 1.25Vrms.

Editorial Note on Preamp ClippingWe would prefer to see Yamaha employ a preamp capable of delivering 2Vrms unclipped to ensure a wider variety of power amplifiers can be mate well. If for example you choose a power amp with the typical 29dB gain structure (THX standard), you would only be able to deliver about 155wpc (1.25 * alog(29/20)) continuously unclipped into an 8 ohm load. A preamp capable of delivering 2Vrms unclipped would allow the amp to deliver over 400wpc into an 8 ohm load!"

I read that and that was the only one I read that sort of agree with your findings. Still it should not be a problem at the low level that you talked about as it would likely be operating nowhere need its clipping point.

If you read this one:

http://www.audioholics.com/av-receiver-reviews/yamaha-rx-v2600/yamaha-rx-v2600-benchmark-performance-tests

His comments on the preouts were:

"We tested the preamp section of the Yamaha RX-V2600 and were able to drive over 4V RMS. This is a welcome change for Yamaha as prior models such as the RX-V2400 and RX-V2500 weren't even able to achieve 2V RMS unclipped. Max input voltage before clipping was a whopping 4.550Vrms. This means you can pretty much drive any power amp on the market to full power, without the Yamaha preamp section adding any unwanted harmonic distortion."

Sounds good, chances are you will be happy. If not, then you can consider the RX-A1030 again. I am not sure what kind of DAC the 3800 has, my guess is the PCM1976 because they tended to use Burr Brown in those days. The 1796 has specs such as SN, DR etc., similar to the ESS 9006's.

Yes, i'll compare with my tc electronic desktop konnekt 6.
It performs very well with the mackie hr824 i'd love to have such a sound in my stereo.
