Help needed

Ok so most of you probably already know that Im looking to do a lot of upgrades to my system. I have been looking at speakers for a while and was mostly set on the Axion M80ti's for my fronts. However I went to the place that I origonally bought my Canton LE170's from today and listend to the LE190's. Now heres the deal the LE190's sounded a lot better than the 170's basicly more bass and a lil less bright. I think they sounded amazing I fell in love all over again. The Axioms and the LE190's are the same price $1200 but heres the deal breaker. Ive had my cantons for 5 months and the guy siad they would take them in on a trade if I got the 190's. I paid 800 for the 170 so Im looking at around 400 to upgrade. Should I do it or not? One reason Id like to is everyone is saying that the Axioms are gonna need a seprate amp even with the Denon 4806 (Another upgrade in doing soon) and Id rather not buy a 3500 dollar reciever just to go out and buy another 2000 amp. Whats everyones thoughts.

Football season has started traffic is down. Wait til Monday and people are killing time at work.

Seems like the Canton upgrade is the way to go. You could audition just a pair of Axioms to remove any doubts.

Are you going to get unified three speakers for your front?

Thats a good point about football. Im perty sure the upgrade route is the best but Im very inpateint so I want to see what cooler heads thought. The thing I liked best was I LOVE my Cantons now and these sounded so much better even my Girlfriend agreed. The down side to audtiong the Axioms is coming up with the money to buy them in the first place. As far a center goes Im thinking the Canton Ergo 605 CM so one line up. I dont think that the LE150CM will suffice and Canton says that all there speakers can interchange for surround sound. I dont know if youd say that there all timbre matched but it sould be damn close. And Im as of yet undecided for surrounds so any thoughts on that would be great as well.

Hey Sean, I would say that you probably already know the answer to your dilema. I have not had much experience with Canton's LE series, but you seem quite attached to them. I have a full set of Ergos for my HT theatre system and couldn't be happier with them! I have the 502 CM, which seems to be last years model, for a center channel and it is a fabulous speaker!

But like stated earlier, give the Axioms a go if you can, just so you know you made the right choice in the end. If you dont want to drop the cash on a purchase, see if anyone in your area has them and would be willing to let you pop round for a visit.
