Help needed with In Wall Speakers decision.

Hello,

I am new to this forum and setting up my home theater for the first time.

I have decided on AV Receiver - Onkyo TX-NR636 ( Yet to order it )
I am planning to do 7.2 setup

I have ordered BIC HT8W 8-Inch 3-Way speakers ( total 4 ) . I am planning to use these as Surround Left & Right, Surround Back Left & Right.

I need suggestions on Front Left, Right and Center Channel Speakers & Sub-Woofers. My budget is around $2500 for all the speakers. I already spent $250 for SL,SR,SBL,SBR speakers.

My room size is 22 X 13.

smoothing out the bass

Boston Acoustics VSi 585 - These seems like a good fit. Have to research more on this.

How the Definitive speakers ( or ) Kilpsch compare against Boston Acoustics.

I will research on HSU VTF-2 mk4 sub woofer also.

Based on other speakers [not in-wall] from the 3 companies - my preference based on their
sonic sound signature, is the Boston higher-end speakers. The VSi series is their high end.

I was going through Boston Acoustics VSi series speakers. The specifications say..

for VSI 555W2, Impedance - 4 ohms
for VSI 585 - Impedance - 8 ohms
for VSI 575 - Impedance - 8 ohms
for VSI 5835 - Impedance - 4 ohms

Here is what I have related to Onkyo TX-NR636 -- Onkyo does, however, warn you that if you use 4 ohm speakers, you should get an amp that's higher up in the product line. And since this unit doesn't give preamp out terminals for the primary and surround speakers, there's no getting around it by using external amplifiers.

So.. That leaves VSI 585 & VSI 575 for consideration from Boston Acoustics. I will consider VSi 585 if I make decision to go with BA.

I was looking at hsuresearch.com for sub woofers and found HB-1 MK2 in wall speakers. ( the pair sold for $299 ). Anybody has experience with these speakers?

Onkyo receivers are unreliable. I would think twice before running 4 ohm speakers on them. That is what I did and my Onkyo died after about four years.

As for the Hsu speakers, they are just in-wall versions of the HB-1 speakers, so they should be pretty good. The Hsu subs are terrific, some of the very best at their price point.

Thanks.. As I haven't purchased Onkyo TX-NR636 yet. I thought of going Denon AVR-X110W earlier, but decided on Onkyo based on some reviews.

What others i can consider? I don't want to spend more than $600 for a receiver.

Any suggestion on Projectors. Considering Benq HT-1025.

I got the Denon x2100w which has 4k pass through for 550. Best buy had a special running for that plus the procinema 600 speaker set for 1k...i bought it and returned the speakers...and the denon came out to 550...talk to magnolia guys...talk to your other local stores...they will go down to 550..maybe 500 if you are lucky...

i ended up with klipsch quintets speakers..and the 10 inch subwoofer...still trying to figure out what to do for my two rears if i make it 7.1...i found these on monoprice but have no idea how good or bad they are...seem too good to be true
