help needed with Denon 2900

Hi.

I just bought a used 2900 as an upgrade fron my 2200. very happy with it.

Problem is, and I got no manual, I cant figure out the "pure dirrect mode 1 and mode 2" switch.

I read somewhere you need to configure these to your liking. As is, they do nothing when I switch them(still get video with it on mode 2).

The OSD and remote give no clue of how to configure them. I was given the RC-934 remote which is the same as for my 2200 and I'm wondering if maybe I was given the wrong remote?

Any help greatly appreciated.
