Hello, I am in the process of finishing my home theater and need some help with finding an AVR receiver. I have looked at a few but still not sure which one is a great one. I know everyone has there opinion of which system they like best, but when your in the stores the employees have no clue.

I have looked at the pioneer elite SC-79 but now I hear they have an SC-89 coming out. The Denon AVR-4520CI, Marantz AV7701, and so on. I am looking for a 9.2 AVR, with 3d and 4k pass through and possibly upscaling as well. Pre outs and I hear some have pre outs for up to a 11.2 or 13.2 system. Please help

Check out the specs on the Yamaha RX-A3030 or lower priced models and do a comparison to the similar models by Denon, Marantz & Pioneer. The RX-A3020 is currently the best bang for buck unit in the series.

I personally prefer Yamaha because of their reliability. I have 4 of their AVR models in my house of various ages and they're all working like a charm. Everyone has their preferences but you can't go wrong with any of those brands. I also believe that all of those brands will be releasing their newest lineup this fall/winter, so you may want to wait to get the latest and greatest and pay accordingly.

Good luck whatever you decide and enjoy.
