Okay with my SVS SBS-01 and my yamaha rx-v2600 receiver I have been scratching heads.

I ruled out bare wire connecting the two together, after apparently having distortion with the bare wire and a possible short occuring.

Trouble is The Blue Jeans banana cables - that's right DO not FIT in the yamaha rx-v 2600

Of course I have been reading the Manual and all it says is to put the banana plugs into the back of the receiver's holes

Well, the ones from Blue jeanshttp://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/speaker/index.htm don't fit in.

It seems as if were it a straight shape it might fit in. If anyone
s gotten it working then - PM me or just state it in the Forum, I am not going to air dry a shrinker on it until I know it fits in.

I am referring

to the speakers A and B, how in the world would a banana plug fit in all the way, I am doing something wrong- I read the manual- its just a short paragraph about it.

Someone help please!

Looks like it has some kind of caps or plug covers inside that you need to remove first...

if the one in the picture is exactly like yours ...
my dealer said you were supposed to "de-virginize" them with your banana plug. (force it in, the plastic is supposed to give way)

since you have a 5.1 setup ... test it out in the surround back channel first :) because im not that sure myself.

waiver: this is what the dealer told me. I haven't tried it myself YET.

That picture is of a European model... those appear to be protective covers so that people don't accidentally plug an appliance cable into the speaker connectors. Just a coincidence that banana plugs are used for AC mains power in some countries.

Forcing the banana in (raping the plug) didn't work. Inserting a blade between the middle plastic and the outer also failed.

But I inserted a small flat screwdriver right in the middle of the hole, and while holding the outer plastic, I pried it out with a lever movement.

Who invents these thing and forgets to mention them in the manual???
