Help! My speakers are "cracking".

I had a new home theater system installed yesterday. However, the speakers are making an infrequent cracking sound. The sound actually is happening in just about every speaker...one at a time. Anyone know what's wrong?

The speakers are B&W VM1's.

A professional installation job?

Time to get the installer back out to fix the job.

yeah, it could be anything.......as simple as a loose wire or as difficult(to diagnose) as an electrical interference, so if its nothing you can think of.......call for help.

Does it happen with all input sources? I ask this because last night I heard some crackling in on of my rear surrounds while watching a movie on TV and like you I was immediately concerned. After testing other channels, a CD, A DVD and the radio, and unable to replicate the "crackling" I was able to determine that it must have been in the movie track itself and this was reinforced when the movie was over the "crackling" went away on that particular channel.
