Hey guys Im new here and to be honest I really dont know anything about home audio. Im looking to piece together a 5.1 surround setup along with receiver while staying under $1000. The less the better. The room its going in is my basement. The dimensions are 12' wide by 25' long with a 8' ceiling.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Ryan

How about this:
http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/ONKTXSR607BLK/Onkyo/Tx-sr607-7.2-channel-Home-Theater-Receiver/1.html
or this:

With this:

or this:

No worries dealing with accessories4less. If you have problems, they'll take care of you and an easy way to get better equipment for the cost without the normal risks of buying used gear.

The Behringer option Jerry suggests is a very good one for SQ, but be aware that the WAF is low (utilitarian cabinets and no grills).

Good luck!

The Behringers sound good and are cheap at $130 pair.
