Help me pick out a TV!

Hello,

I would like some input in regards to a new TV. I want to buy a 55" TV <= $2000 that will be good for sports, movies and video games. I am leaning towards LED or Plasma, but am not sure which to pick! What would you guy's recommend for a set that is sold at Best Buy that fits this criteria?

Unless it is on sale, and you already more or less missed the best holiday sales, I wouldn't buy it at Best Buy. Their prices really aren't that great. I just picked up my LED off Amazon for about $800 less than Best Buy a few weeks ago. The price is up about $300 from then, but is still a lot less than BB. Samsung UN55D7000

I just bought an LG 55LW5600 from U.S. Appliance for $1249 and LOVE it! They have same policies as Amazon (no tax; free shipping/returns), and it was a painless buying experience. The LG is one of the "Best of the Year" TVs on many web sites.

I HATE, Hate, hate Best Buy!
