Hi there fellow members!!!! I am currently building a system for my room. I have decided on the speakers which i want to purchase but am having problems deciding on the amp and subwoofer. Can you help me out. Give me some feedback. Below are the speakers which i will be using and the possible amps i am considering. Thanks

Front: Usher CP-6311
Center: Usher X - 616
Sub: Either the M&K V75 or the REL Q150
Amplifier: Denon 3805, Yamaha RX-V2400 Any suggestions at this price range.

Thanks Here from you guys soon.

The Denon 3805 is significantly more expensive than the Yamaha RX-V2400 and has a more robust amp section, but i'm not sure that it worth it (the $300 extra bucks). Hear them and decide for yourself; both are fine pieces of machinery.

do you need a third room and the Denon link for your SACD(someday)/DVD audio ? if not look at the 2805 for $ 200 to $ 250 less. :)

Thanks

Thanks so much. One last question are the rxv 2400, 2805 or rxv2500 bi wire capable. I may upgrade my fronts to the model higher then the ushers i mentioned and i am worried that it may lack power. I plan to use these amps on 5.1 only so I would love to utilize the extra 2 channels to power my mains. Is this possible for the amps mentioned in this forum. What you guys think of the Usher speakers? They any good.

For 5.1 system, the 3805 definitely allows you to bi-wire. Not sure about the 2805 but you can download the manual from the Denon site. The Denon link is a great feature, one small cable versus 6 bigger ones, as long as you are willing to spend $1k on the DVD-3910, or much more on the DVD-5900.
