OK, my buddy just got a new house and is buying my current setup since he fell in love with it. I am selling him: my reciever (onkyo), two old 8'' subs JBL and Onkyo HTiB (I have a real 12'' now), rears (my homemade supercubes with positionable tweeters and REAL xovers), fronts (modded 1/2 way decent white van specials), and center (onkyo HTiB), and a Wal-Mart DVD burner, all for $260 because I owe him $65 already.

I still have: My yamaha/boston acoustics/whitevan hybrid bookshelfs, 12'' Welton Audio sub, DVD recorder/player.

I need to get: Reciever (preferably 6.1 or 7.1 unless its a really nice 5.1), center, at least two bookshelfs.

I like the pioneer VSX-516K/S for $140 on pricegrabber, I like the infinity primus series speaker, insignia 6.5" co-ax's with the xover/box mods, BIC DV52/62, dv32 center, JBL northridge stuff, but am open to any recommendations for exceptional value gear that will yield good performance.

I have $300 to spend, and I really wanna cover most of this list.

Thanks in advance for all your opinions

Somebody must have an answer/input... maybe since I have a few older amps laying around a preprocessor/preamp would work? Anyone find a good deal on a 5.1 DD/DTS Prepro? I'm not asking for anyone to do the searching work for me, just help me out!

secondact.biz still has some of the jamo avr-793 for $299. I have never heard them, but based on features, power, reviews, I would certainly put this at the top of my list.

Enjoy
