I have been researching long and hard for new speakers and I think I have it narrowed down to 3 packages. I only have about $700-$800 to spend on a center channel, fronts, and rears ( I already have a good sub, so Im covered there). Here’s my list:

Infinity Beta – Beta20’s up front, Beta10’s in the rear, and the C360 center channel - $710 including shipping

Infinity Primus – 360 towers up front, 150’s in the rear, and the C25 center channel - $660 including shipping

AV123 X Series – X-LS’s up front and rear, X-CS for the center - $695 including shipping

I’ve read good reviews about each system, but have only been able to listen to the Beta and Primus series. I thought they both sounded good but they were in separate stores and hard to compare the two. I figure Beta is better than Primus speaker for speaker but I am wondering if the Primus 360 towers will be better than the Beta bookshelves. The X-LS’s seem to have the best reviews but I wont be able to sample unless I buy.

There you have it – which should I get? Has anyone listened to any of these side by side, and if so, which did you prefer? I’ll probably make my decision based on the feedback I get, so let me know what you think!!

THANKS!!

Ok, I am going to base this soley on centers as I have owned a Primus C25 (In fact, traded it in on my Rockets).

The C25 is a darn good center UNTIL you hear something from AV123.

I just recieved my 3 X-CS last week and we have watched a couple of movies since then.

I am running X-LS front, X-CS center and X-sub as sub, no rears run as of right now because I dont have wiring run yet.

The X-CS annhilates the others I have heard, no doubt about it.

I would easily base a system around it.
