I have a list of subs I can not decide what will be the smartest buy...
hsu-vtf-1 $449
svs-pb10nsd $429
axiom-ep175 $ 504 including shipping B stock
dayton diy titanic-10 kit $399
bic america ? $279 h-100 $329 k-12
or something else

These are all within my price range axiom is the max I want to spend. Room size is14x18x8 with 2 openings 3ft and a 6ft..I am after clean tight bass..quality is more important than shaking the house apart...Thanks if you can help..

I would go with the SVS, as it goes deeper than the others.

So your price limit is 500 bucks then.

Considering what you have listed I would honestly scrimp a little more money together and get a PB12 NSD. I know its 600+Shipping but the 12 is a lot more sub for the money. That or wait around to get a Bstock PB12 NSD when one comes up.

You might take a look at the Outlaw subs. I have an LFM-1 EX ($649) and i couldnt be happier. The LFM-1 Plus is $550 plus shipping so probably $600 out the door. Also the outlaw subs are downfiring and downported so if you have kids you wont have to worry about crayons or toy cars getting stuffed into your sub ports.

Consider if the extra $100 is worth getting a lot more sub. Both of what I listed is going to be noticeably better than any of your listed options.

I would go with either the SVS or the HSU, considering your list. Personally I have the VTF-1 and am quite happy with it. I still have to calibrate the whole ht system correctly, but so far it sounds great coupled with my Axiom speakers (M2x2 VP150 QS4x2).
