Ok, my marantz just give me this buzzing sound from the front channel (I switch the speaker and it is still there from only that channel). I believe if i sent for repair it would cost me half the price of a new receiver. I will try to call and get an estimate though.
Now I am thinking about getting a new receiver even if the old one got fixed I'll always have a spare to use, right?;) . I am so bumped, i can't listen to anything in my bedroom now.

Please help me decide of the 3:
  • Marantz SR4600 - $240.99 (refurb), $279.99 new from Acc4less
  • HK AVR 235-Z - $247.00 (refurb) will buy from harman audio, their CS is great so i dont mind buying refurb from them
  • Onkyo TXSR574-$249.99 (refurb) from Acc4less, they are great too

The receiver will be used with my MS-902,with HK surround spkrs and X-sub to watch DVD but mainly for music.
Please let me know your opinion before i hit the submit button. (i'll accept any other recomendation within that price range). Thanks. :)

You can pick up a Panasonic digital receiver for around the same price new on Amazon (and plenty of other places). Should be good enough for the Mordaunts, and they get great reviews for sound quality, plus they are smaller than a typical receiver.

If not, I'd go with the 4600. Marantz + Mordaunt Short = :D

I tend to go with Marantz and or HK since I'm familiar with the setup so i don't need to struggle with settings. Thanks J.

Wow...all goes for Marantz..:p . As i have expected, not many HK fans around here. I wish my Marantz hadn't died on me...:( . Now i have to wait several days/weeks to get it shipped. I have the HK240, it's a sweet receiver though.
Was the Marantz i mentioned earlier would be sufficient for me? you think?

HK is fine if you are in the U.S., where the price is right.
