Back off the volume level.
Hello,
I got hold of new Harman Kardon AVR 133 and connected JBL STS 200 book shelves speakers to it.
The problem is the sound distorts at higher volumes
Can anybody guide how to come out of it ?
Does AVR 133 go with only floor standers
Your HK AVR 133 goes with any reasonable speakers, big or small, it doesn't matter. Your speakers are small, so there is so much that they can handle.
Don't crink the volume too high, that's all.
You already push the volume to it's limit, just back it off a bit, and stay within that range, without going any further on the volume level, quite simple.
If you want more volume, get a bigger receiver, and perhaps bigger speakers too, quite simple again.
