Help...I’m so scared my Pioneer VSX-59txi will die

I have been blessed to buy a Mint Pioneer 59txi with remote from this rich guy in a Lexus for $180.00. It is a museum piece. She is heavy, complex, and absolutely beautiful sounding. Prior, I had the excellent Nakamichi AV-10 that would not die. My ears have been accustomed to a very refined sound. I’m disabled these days. I don’t have the capital to replace it. I don’t know how reparable it is. I have enjoyed many Haflers XL amps and several other models using MOSFET A/B. I don’t want a “d”.

You all, brothers and sisters. I need your council. If you have had work done on the pioneer, has the part streams dried up? I have a Yamaha RX-V3800 I picked up cheap. It’s proven to be a great stereo receiver, but not anywhere near Pioneer with all channels rolling. I don’t trust most sources for honest reviews. I have enjoyed many Denon AVR-3300,3805. Kids have them now, but again, not worthy.

if need arises, give me a solid used replacement that will make my RBH Si770/R speakers sing. I’m not a snob with vague attempts to show off my gear. I am chronic pain guy with a butchered and bolted lower back. I’m working on day to day survival. I have been isolated for 15 years. Music is all I have left. It’s so important to my mental health.
Thanks all

I'm not one with the engineering chops to help you although many members are qualified but I can ask some opening questions to help them out

Is it not working?

What are you worried is going to fail if it stops working?

Are you inquiring about specific maintenance of the unit to keep it in good shape if so what area of keeping it in good shape are you needing advice on?

Just getting some good info for the guys to have to help you out

It’s having issues. When I tried the bi-amping function the channel driving the top end died with static..worst parts of the Bible. I have other indicators like static with adjusting different functions like changing the acoustic calibration.
Spend a substantial amoucash fixing, but if it’s far enough outdated, all that money spent fixing could be put towards a newer unit.

I guess I need to get on the horn and call a place for bid. I’ve been lucky to catch this type of thing with little cost involved. I fear, where this was a flagship of pioneer, that it could be very pricey.

It would be nice if someone in this forum has sent this model in for maintenance, they may have an idea on cost. I’ve never done checkups on my gear.
