Help finding BD/DVD with DivX and .mkv support

Looking for suggestions on either a DVD or Blu-Ray player that will handle DivX encoded .avi files, .mkv, and h.264 files. DivX compatibility is apparently not a major selling point, so it's difficult to find which players support this codec. Spent some time searching the forums, and didn't find anything that seemed to address my question.

The obvious choice would be the Oppo BDP-83, but would rather not spend $500 if there is a more economical alternative.

Must haves:

* Must be able to play the above file formats via USB drive.
* Must be stackable with other equipment. This rules out the Samsung BD-P4600. Just need something with a 'normal' AV equipment profile.

Would like:

* Blue display color, preferably dot-matrix style.
* A rear USB port would be awesome, since I could tuck my external HD out of the way.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Look to the very right at the "Additional Notes".

Even if $500, if the Oppo fits every criteria listed, I'd just get that. You have a difficult set of criteria I think. But who knows, I hope you might find a happy surprise in your research.

I think the PS3 would be the best choice.

Jostenmeat, where the heck did that table come from? Looks like I'll be hunting a JVC XV-BP1, or wait until the newer, cheaper Oppo is officially announced.

PS3 is ruled out because it is not sized for a rack and I just don't like Sony.

Doesn't the Samsung BD-P1600 handle those file types?
