I've got a 52" rear projection television with a corrigated screen. The manual says to use water (damp cloth) to clean it. The kids touched it and there is streaks across it. What can I use to clean it?

I would get some microfiber cleaning cloths so you don't run the risk of scratching it. Home Depot sells a bag of them for about $6 (paint aisle).

If you have oily spots, you might try 90% isopropyl alcohol. Should not damage plastic but dries very fast. Try it in a very small spot in the corner first with the tip of a Q-tip just to be safe. Alcohol is a strong solvent. Don't use Fantastic or window cleaner as ammonia can haze plastic or turn them yellow.

I use the Monster cleaner stuff with the micro fiber... Only because I get it cheap though. You can use the orange windex, it has no ammonia in it. That is what most people with tinted windows in their cars use.

Here at the office we got those individually packaged towelettes called 'Cleen Screen' (by ZEE Medical, Inc) Awesome stuff. I usually take those home to clean my TV and PC screens. Fingerprints, whatever - cleans it all and leaves no traces.

Rubbing alcohol and a thick, dust free cotton cloth is about as safe as you can get to remove oils. It dries fast, and has not added chemicals to harm the screen.

Thanks guys, I ended up using HPLC water and a little bit of dish soap. Worked great.
