Happy Holidays all. I have just purchased the AV receiver and TV that will carry me into the future. I want to use my old Definitive Technology PRO CINEMA series setup and purchase better speakers later. My first problem is how to hook up my Pro Sub 100. The sub does not have a direct in LFE. It does have left and right LFE. Should I get a splitter and connect both channels to the 3805 sub out?

The TV and HD come on Tuesday next week. Man I can hardy wait.

:D

You could use a splitter, but running one cable to left input would work as well. Congrats on new purchase!

The Pro Sub 100 does have a LFE input. You will just use one of the Left or Right inputs only. Check the manual as it will tell you. But it does have this function. I used to own this sub and remeber using it.

The problem is I have been through several moves with these speakers and all the docs seem to have disappeared. I wish DefTech had downloadable .pdf manuals on their site.

Look closer on the back if I recall correctly it is written on the amp plate. Something like this.

L / LFE

Or the reverse of this.

L
R / LFE

Something to this effect.

But I know for a fact it can.

why dont you just call Chet at def.tech. and he'll tell you exactly how to properly setup the sub.I had the def.tech. pro100's w/200tl sub for years and beleive it or not the best way to wire is thru speaker level and the lfe simultaneously and setting mains to large.Just contact chet and you'll see.

Bump!! I stil have my prosub 100 and it works perfectly want to pair it with my JBLs and am unsure how to connect up the speakers in the rear panel. It appears that the stereo pair comes out of the power amp, through the sub then to the speakers? I am unable to find a manual. Could someone scan one?
