First question, you are spending about 20K (retail) on McIntosh gear for 2K speakers, and a $350 subwoofer seems a bit overkill, am I missing something? At first I thought this post was someone trying to make a joke?
- You are using high end gear for a entry level speakers and subwoofer. The Focal are nice speakers, but I am not sure what you are expecting in sonic improvement.
- In my opinion, for the money you are spending, I would invest in better speakers, definitely better subwoofer
- Who talked you into, or what made you decide you wanted to drop 20k on McIntosh Gear?
Bad news, no easy way to use your subwoofer, the MA5300 is 2 Channel with no Sub Out, so not sure how to advise you on that one.
As far as using the MC152 with your MA5300, go to page 7 on the 5300 manual, you would connect the pre outs (bottom left of the integrated amp, to the MC152 using unbalanced interconnects (left/right).
I would seriously rethink what you are trying to accomplish with your system.
