Hello,

I need some help choosing the right speakers for my system.

I'm looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers for my Myryad Z140/Z112 system.

I was wondering if the JMR Duet was a good choice.

It's for a small room < 20 square meters.

The music I listen to is: voices, piano, cello… ancient music, baroque music, jazz...

I don't like punchy basses and listen music at a moderate volume.

Is there a better choice or do you think the Duets should fit my needs?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Thomas

I see it's your first post, Welcome to Audioholics!

Your Z140 is a 50watt amp 8ohms.
Do you have any info on the JMR Duets?

Since they are 4 ohm and your amp is 8 ohm, they may work, as long as they're not played too loudly.
If played too loud they will draw more wattage than your amp can supply, and over heat it.
I'd try it and keep an eye on how hot the amp gets. Give it plenty of breathing room and don't put anything on top of it.
I have computer fans on top of all my amps regardless of how hot they get.

If you haven't already purchased the Duets, I'd keep looking and listening, for a better match.
