Help choosing new speaker

I presently have an rx a1020 and a focal cube 5.1 surround sytem.
I would like to change the speakers for a new 7.2 set.
My budget is around 5-6k.
I was thinking maybe paradigm studio but I don't know much about other brand so I tough I would ask here

You will get 100 different recommendations for sure.....well, okay, maybe not 100.

So $6K for 7 speakers & 2 subs?

Personally I would just do 5.2 (for most rooms 20' x 18'), but 7.2 is cool too especially if you have a very large room.

Most of us own speakers & subs from 2 different manufacturers. For example, speakers from Salk, Ascend, Revel, KEF, B&W, NHT, Focal, etc, but subs from Funk, SVS, HSU, Rythmik, etc.

Most of us also own separate ext amps, but I think your AVR will be fine.

Ya I know that im gonna get lots of different recommendation
I forgot to mention that this would only be to watch movies and not listen to music, this bit of information should narrow what I should get.

For 6k check out Salks for speakers and SVS for subs.

Your receiver should be fine with those.
