Whats the better of the two? Having a hard time deciding. Can't go above 400 bucks on new speakers, thanks!

They are different, not better. It all depends on one's personal tastes. Are blondes or brunettes better?

The Bostons would appear to have a bit stronger (not necessarily better) bass but the pioneers are the current darlings of the internet.

Try them both, one at a time, and be prepared to take/send one back. Be aware of your dealers return policy.

But serious, some people like the Pioneer, some don't. Everyone is different for sure. No guarantees.
