I need your help in building a multi-room system. Old owner of the house had a structure ready for 6 pairs of in-ceiling speakers with 2 volume controls with impedance matching and also structure ready for 1 pair of outdoor speakers. I have an Onkyo SR706 operating under 5.1 with cabasse eole speakers (not using 7.1) with a free zone 2.
Whats the best option to use the structure in place, meaning (i) do I need another amplifier? (ii) should I go with a speaker selector plugged on my Zone 2 pre-out? (iii) should I buy a separate audio only receiver for the multi-room? Apologies for the ignorance, but what do you recommend? many thx
